Positron’s Porcelain Insulator Tester has revolutionized testing the condition of all types of porcelain insulator strings on suspension lines.

The testing procedure is easy and safe for live-line transmission work on AC power lines of 69 kV to 1,000 kV. An instantaneous graphic result enables on-the-spot determination if an insulator is safe or not and if maintenance is required.

Positron’s Porcelain Insulator Testers are used around the world since the early 1990s and is the only product of its kind that can with absolute accuracy determine the condition of Porcelain Suspension Insulators by sensing the insulator’s surrounding Electric Field.
